DBMS
(DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)
What is DATA:
-A data is information Combination
of character, number symbol. After
process the data, it converts into information Data process information Raw fact
or features.
What is DATABASE:
-An organized collection
of data called data base but unorganized collection of data called dump.
What is METADETA:
-The data of data called
Metadata .Example:-the name of table ,attribute are metadata.
DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
=> It is the
program for managing our data by the help of different quarry or instruction.
It provides a system where all possible tool aur added for define manipulating
controlling our data base on the system. DBMS is the acronym of database
management system data are stores in a file not a table there are no any
relation or connection between two file because it cannot provide relation. The
data radiancy is common because less restriction or validation are applied on
the database file. It executes upon single user operating system. To execute
the DBMS program the software and hardware requirement are lock. The best
example of DBMS software of database.
Relation
management data management*
=> Relation management data system is a more advance version DBMS system allow access to data in a more efficient way. It is used two more data that are perform in a table not file.
*Difference
between DBMS and RDBMS*
DBMS |
RDBMS |
1.IT stores in the file format. |
1.Data store in table format. |
2.Indivisual access of data elements. |
2.Multipal data elements are accessible together. |
3.No connection between data. |
3.Data in the form of table are linked together. |
4.DBMS supports distributed database. |
4.Normalization is not usually. |
5. There is not support
for disputed data base. |
5.It supports distributed. |
6.Data stores in a small quantity. |
6.Data stores in a large amount given from the
system. |
7.Data radiancy is common. |
7.Radiancy of data is reside with the help of key
constraints. |
8.It is not suitable for security concerts. |
8.IT supports a security to open our data base retry
of database and you can not access without permission. |
9.It supports software and hardware with low
requirements. |
9.The software and hardware requirement are higher
before executing the program. |
10.Example of DBMS are database FOXPRO. |
10.Example of RDBMS are oracle, Sequel Microsoft
access. |
Characteristics
of DBMS
1. Provide security and removes data
radiancy.
2.Self distributing nature of a
database system.
3.An interface between program and data
abstraction.
4.Support of multiple views of the
data.
5.Data sharing and also multiuser
transaction processing.
6.IT provides multiuser environment for
data communication.
*TYPES OF
DBMS*
In database
management system there are different layouts form for arranging our data using
the shape as for example :-
1.Hierarchical
database model.
2.Network
database model.
3.Entity
relationship model.
4.Relational
database model.
1. Hierarchical:-
=> In hierarchical data base model data is organize in a tree
like structure known as hierarchical format. Data is represented using parent
child relationship in the terms of top down or button up approach .In
hierarchical database management system parent may have many children but
children have only one parent.
2.Network model:-
=> A network
database model allows each child to have multiple parents. It helps you to
address the nib to model more complex relationship as for example:-many to many
relationship In network model representation entity are organize in a graph
which can be access throw several paths.
3.Entity relationship model:-
=> It
is the type of database management
system it helps our table to communicate to or more database using relation
activities.
IT is a read word
entities and their relationship it is easy for the developers to understand the
system. By simply looking at the ER diagram ER model are normally representing
by ER diagram.
*
Components of ER diagram*
1.ENTITIES:-
=> It is the real word thing which can
be a person place or department in the organization for ex:-department, admin,
courses ,teachers ,students , customers etc. are some of the entities related to
different sector . A rectangle symbol is represented and entity for presenting
our database.
2.ATTRIBUTE:-
=> An entity which contents a real word
property called an attribute for ex:-they empty employees has the property
their employ ID-salary department etc.
An attribute can be represented add oval shape where all the attributes are
given with specific property.
3.TUPLE:-
=> In our database the tuple means
record or row where each record is added with set of information.
4.RELATION:-
=> It is component of ER diagram it
shows that the relation between two entity in the terms of one to many , many to one , many to many and one to one also.
*Entity
----------Table--------Database
*Attribute---------column-------field
*Tuple----------Row---------Record
*Relation----Table-----connection
between two entities
