What is Data Transmission
Data Transmission
What is data transmission?
- Data transmission refers to the process of transferring the data between two or more digital devices in along and digital format i. this data is transferred in the form of bits.
1. Serial data transmission
2. Parallel data Transmission
1. What is Serial data Transmission.
=> In serial data transmissited serially over a common communication link one after then another.
In serial data transmission total bits are classified in the term of from or packet and each bit parity.
Serial data transmission classified into two characteristics.
* Serial Data Transmission *
Notes: - 1. Bitwise send
2. Clock Rate
3. External clock
A. Synchronous transmission
B. Asynchronous transmission
A. What is Synchronous transmission
- In synchronous data transmission data follows in a full duplex mode in the from of packet or frames in this communication external clock is used for intimating the signal for send or receiving in the same network.
Notes: - for synchronous transmission
• Each byre is classified into packet/frame
• Signal goes to receive for receiving data
• Full duplex
• Fast
B. What is Asynchronous Transmission: -
- In asynchronous transmission data follow in a half-duplex follow it is transmitted one time. It doesn’t request is clock wise synchronous redder uses parity bit to tell the receiver. How to enter parity bits to know about the signal it is either start or stop.
Each bite can have 0&1 to know about start & stop signal from user.
2. What is Parallel Data Transmission
- Parallel data communication in computer networks the data communication is the process for sending & receiving data from one end two another the parallel data communication is different from serial communication uses one and only one channel two send or receive data from both end. Int this communication there are number of channels used for sending or wev4eiveng the massage between two ends the parallel communication needs separate one channel two transfer data in a signal clock cycle it makes relatively more faster than serial communication because each bit of sat can sent or receive in the communication channel & there are no any parity bit table from informing use to start & end in the same data communication.
The parallel data communication is more faster then serial due to their architecture.
* Difference
between serial communication and parallel communication*
Serial communication
1. A process of transmitting data bitwise sharing data in using single
channel.
2. It uses half duplex communication for data communication.
3. It needs start and stop parity bits during data communication.
4. It is more efficient data communication because long distance
communication is easier for operating. Parallel communication |
1. The process a data as a hole bit using multiple channels.
2. It uses full duplex communication for sending and receiving data
from uses at the same time.
3. It doesn’t need to synchronous because the hole bits in a dingle
clock cycle. 4. Due to multiple communication channel long distance communication is
not comfortable because a single byte is sent or receive from one end two
another. |
